The Pretentitious Bastard Show
New Page Title

Well The Pretentitious Bastard Show is no more (for this semester at least). I didn't put in a schedule request form for the fall cause I'm not in school this semester and I am looking at possibly being sent to Ft. Irwin, California to assist with the deployment of the 278th Armored Cavalry (ah the things we do to pay for school). But, fear not. I will be back on the roster for the spring, and will probably be sitting in on a few shows this fall. Till then, i'll leave this page up and still update it as soon as I know when I'll be on the air. My final show for the summer will be on Saturday August 28th, starting somewhere around 10pm and going on all night long. So check it out, call in at 615-898-5051 or instant mesage me on the station web cam at wmtsradio.com and lets get funky for the end of summer!!
Peace

Not too many people know that college radio svaed my life. I grew up in a small podunk town in east Tennessee called Athens. Now this place wasn't exactly a mecca for any type of quality music. No rock radio stations (except for the classic ones, and hey, it's called classic rock for a reason... NOTHING NEW!!), no rap stations, nuttin. One night I'm makin circles in the driveway on my ten-speed and my friend calls me up and tells me to turn on the radio to 91.5. I go into my dad's garage and tune he radio on his work bench, and lo and behold the glorios tunes of punk and speed metal and thrash and hip hop burst forth from the cracked speaker cone. I was instantly saved. I knew that this was what I wanted to do. i wanted to take hold and command the airwaves and do for others what that lowly 5 watt station did for me and give people a choice. Nearly 15 years later I'm on my way. Now I have my own radio show on 88.3 WMTS, Murfreesboro TN (www.wmtsradio.com), the on-campus station for MTSU. I have desided to call it The Pretentitious Bastard show as an homage to 91.5's The Mad Puppy, which was the first college radio show I heard and became a regular listener of. The guy was friggin cool okay! I'm playing everything under the sun. Lately I've been on a bit of a metal kick, playing the stuff I used to listen to back then, but now that I found the rythm of the show it's starting to become a lot more diverse in styles of music and I've been getting a lot of good feedback and callers.
Now I spin everything from jazz, to punk, to funk, to metal, to hip-hop, to indie, to drum and bass, to house, to all sorts of crazy ass shit.
This page is a sort of refrence document for the show. With playlists, upcoming special guests, links to the WMTS site, where you can listen to our live stream and dig us on the web-cam, and a space for requests or if ya just wanna post some messages.
This is where you can do all that.
Check it out... and remember 12am till 2am and sometimes beyond on saturdays  on 88.3 WMTS
Peace!
